Brian N. Williams

Executive Board Committee Member

PEGLLLLab is faculty affiliate of Improving Police-Adolescent Relationships Through Training (IMPART) Collaborative, and a Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration. He is also an Associate Professor of Public Policy within the Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia.


He is committed to person centered, community-engaged, practitioner-oriented action research in examining and understanding the interplay between race, public safety, and public governance. Williams has devoted his efforts to leverage public engagement with police personnel in order to reconcile differences in communities, particularly for the purposes of (re)imagining, (re)designing and (re)aligning policies, practices, structures, and systems that improve police-community relations and enhance community well-being.
