Richard Hough

Executive Board Committee Member

As a former career-long criminal justice administrator, Richard has overlapped his practical experience in public administration with more than thirty years of college and university research and teaching in policies and practices within criminal justice agencies.

Richard is an active consultant and expert witness in CJ matters, and has recently facilitated nationwide webinars on implicit bias, the use of lethal force by law enforcement, enforcing gubernatorial orders, and the direction of policing in the wake of the killing of Tyre Nichols. Professor Hough holds a BA in public administration, the MPA from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and a doctorate in education with the concentration of public administration and leadership. He has been a member of ASPA and SECOPA over a period of three decades. Richard believes that 'together, ASPA CJ and executives in criminal justice can move the field forward.'
